SINGLE ROW ANGULAR CONTACT BALL BEARING

Single row angular contact ball bearings can carry thrust load in one direction only, and should always be adjusted against another bearing which accommodates the opposed thrust load. Single row angular contact ball bearings are no separable.
Spindle bearings are a special design of the single row angular contact ball bearings; they were developed primarily for high-speed work spindles of machine tools. The spindle bearings differ from the angular contact ball bearings by the contact angle, the degree of accuracy, and the type of cage. Spindle bearings are manufactured in series 70 and 72. They are identified by a bearing number commencing with a B.
There are two standard versions of single row angular contact ball bearings used for different purposes.
Only one bearing is used at a given bearing position.
Two or more bearings are positions at the given bearing position. They may be mounted adjacent, back to back or face to face position. Universal matching bearings are specially manufactured to be placed in adjacent arrangement to get a pre determined internal clearance.

DOUBLE ROW ANGULAR CONTACT BALL BEARING

The design of the double row angular contact ball bearing corresponds to two single row angular contact ball bearings arranged back to back. The bearing is capable of carrying high radial loads and thrust loads in both directions. It is particularly suitable for applications calling for high axial rigidity.
Double row angular contact ball bearings with unsplit rings are provided with filling slots on one side. The bearings should be mounted in such a way that the main loads are carried by the raceways without filling slot.
They are also available with shields (non-rubbing type) and seals (low friction and rubbing type) on both sides. They are filled with lithium based grease that inhibits rust and can operate from temperatures -30Â° C to 110Â° C.

Dimensions: The dimensions are as per the ISO recommendations
Misalignment: They are designed to adjust to limited alignment errors. Any misalignment increases the Running noise.
Tolerance: They are usually meant for normal tolerance but can be enhanced.
Internal Clearance: The internal clearance for single row angular contact ball bearing is obtained after Mounting and depends on the second bearing that provides axial location in Opposite direction.
Normal axial internal clearance is taken as standard in double row angular contact ball bearings.
